They had wanted to update their traditional home for years, but never found the time. Then one day a burst pipe flooded their entire home. It took a lot of planning, patience, and perseverance - but the final result is spectacular. The first level opens up to accommodate a much larger kitchen and family gathering space. Coffered ceilings and beams provide architectural interest and connect the three separate functional areas (cooking, eating, relaxing). A color palette of creamy white custom cabinets and backsplash, soapstone countertops, and sage green walls pulled from the stone fireplace ensure the area feels open and bright. They are thrilled with their new elegant, yet warm and inviting home.
